The Rhine Model is the new term for social market economy. Its basic connotations include the emphases on the optimal integration of efficiency and equity and of competition and order, and on the theory of mutual support and cooperation.Considering its connotations,the Rhine Model is rational in some aspects to some extent.In the context of globalization, the Rhine Model meets with some challenges. The research on the dilemma of Rhine Model helps provide some insights and heuristics for us in the process of constructing the model of market economy.
