In the history of human civilization, androgyny is a very old prototype that has profound influence. The prototype not only frequently appears in the ancient literature and folk tales in the form of surrealistic myth, but also gets positive response in the modern feminist critical theory. It originates in human's inner wish to overcome the sex opposition and become strong and powerful from the mutual complement of two sexes. It reposes on the permanent ideal of human society to rebuild companion relationship of two sexes.
