In this interview, Karen Calhoun, Associate University Librarian for Technical Services at Cornell University Library, discusses the next generation of library information systems, changing roles for catalogers, and better practices for organizing electronic and digital resources. The interview took place in several meetings during the summer of 2002 with Jiang Airong, Director of Library Systems and Vice Director of the Digital Library Institute of Tsinghua University, and Teresa Mei, East Asian Catalog Librarian at Cornell University Library.
