Equilibrium between Micelles and Free-Chains Studied by Gel Permeation Chromatography

本文提出了用凝胶渗透色谱研究嵌段共聚物胶束溶液的新方法。该方法的特点是用共聚物溶液作为淋洗剂,用不同于淋洗剂溶液浓度的共聚物溶液作为试液来探测存在于淋洗剂中的胶束——自由链平衡。

A new method is described for the study of micellar solution of block copolymers by gel permeation chromatography. Results are presented for the micellization in aqueous media of a poly(oxyethylene/oxypropylene/oxyethylene) triblock copolymer (F127). The new approach circumvents the dilution effect which normally greatly restricts the study of associating systems by GPC is the use of the block copolymer solution as the eluent instead of simply the Pure solvent. The association behaviour of the eluent is probed by injecting an additional small volume of copolymer solution into the system.
