Investigation on Eco-economical Benefits of the Forest System for Windbreak and Sand-fixation in Hexi Corridor

调查结果表明,防风固沙林体系能改善农业气候,减弱风速,减少输沙量及沙风暴天数和干热风的危害,恢复、扩大耕地面积,提高粮食产量,同时提供木材、薪柴、草等物质资源,生态经济效益显著。

Investigation results illustrated that windbreak and sand-fixation forest system can improve agricultur- al climate and weaken wind specd, reduce the capacity of sand transmission, the days of sand and windstorm, and harm of dry and hot wind resume, and expand cultivate area and raise yields of grain. At the same time it can also provide resources of wood, firewood and grass. The eco-economical benefit is remarkable.
