On Language Elements of Painting

绘画语言是表情达意的形象 ,其中造型、线条、色彩和构图等语言要素 ,都不是对自然物象的简单反映 ,不是照镜子式的摹写 。

Painting language is the image of conveying ideas and feelings, among which the language elements such as model、line of drawing、colors and composition of the picture don't simply reflect the natural object image. It is not a mirror replication, but a creation in which the painter's artistic thoughts serves as an intermediary link.
