A Discussion on Feng Youlan’s “New Confucianism”

冯友兰是我国20世纪三、四十年代新儒学的代表人物。他力图以传统儒学为主体来吸收改造近现代西方思想文化,借以寻求中国政治、经济文化等方面的现实出路。借以马克思主义批判新儒学,实是希望理论工作者融纳、吸收马克思主义,因为它已成为我们中华民族主体的共同信念。

FENG You-lan is a personage of the new confucianism in the1930s in China.He tried to tak e traditional confucianism as main body to absorb and remould the ideological culture of the modern west for the purpose of exploring possible paths for chinese politics,economy and culture,etc.Of criticizing the new confucianism in the way of Marxism to make theoretical functionary working personnel adopt and absorb Marxism,which has been common belief of the chinese nation.
