The latest technical progress of accessories for high and super high voltage XLPE cables is presented. The basic and key problems pertaining to design and manufacture of pre molded acessories, especially those concerning optimization of electric field distribution and quality control of accessories are described. Finally, the further development of the accessories for high and super high voltage XLPE cables in China is proposed.
