The number of patients with endstage renal disease (ESRD) on Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) continuous to increase since its inception in 1976. Solute and water transport across the peritoneum during CAPD have been widely studied at recent years, now it is being applied to guide clinical practice.The purpose of the article is to introduce new concept of CAPD according to our experiments and scholarly reviews so that to improve our knowledge about CAPD.
