中西文化差异——大学英语教学中一个不容忽视的问题

On the Cultural Differences Between China and the English-speaking Countries in College English Teaching

语言是文化的载体,学习语言,必须了解其所属的文化.对于母语为汉语的英语学习者来说,学习英语国家的文化,了解中西文化的差异显得尤为重要.本文着重结合教学实践,从阅读理解的角度,探讨英汉文化的差异及其在大学英语教学中的重要性.在极其宽泛的文化范畴中,本文仅选取行为准则、价值观念和意识形态等几个视角来分析<大学英语·精读>(上海外语教育出版社)课本中存在的中西文化差异问题,并结合教学实际进行个案分析.

Since language and culture are so closely related, a cultural awareness is very important to the understanding of a language. This thesis focuses on the problem of the cultural difference between China and the Western world,especially the English spoken countries, in such aspects as the code of behavior, social values and ideology in order to offer some guidance in the teaching of English,especially that of reading compreginsion.
