Nanometer TiO 2 was prepared using Ti(SO 4) 2 as a precursor and NH 4HCO 3 as a precipitant by methods of orthogonally designed precipitation at room temperature and its catalytic activities in photocatalytic degradation of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) were measured. The effects of the preparation conditions including the concentrations of Ti(SO 4) 2 and NH 4HCO 3, the pH value at the end of precipitation operation, and sintering temperature and time on the catalytic activities and the primitive diameters of these TiO 2 samples were studied. A TiO 2 catalyst with higher activity and 9nm primitive diameter was prepared under optimized conditions.
