党的十六大报告提出的“全面建设小康社会”已成为全中国的国家目标。地理学的自身的属性决定了她应当并且能够与其它诸多学科一道肩负起研究“全面建设小康”问题的崇高使命 。

The target of building a well-off society in an all-round way that was put forward in the 16th CPC National Congress report certainly will become China's national object by the National People's Congress. The own property of geography decides it should and can undertake the lofty mission of studying the developing well-off society model with other disciplines and this studying should be defined on the bases of man-land relationship regional system and it's coordination-symbiosis.
