摘要
借用译法是翻译习语的常用方法之一,即借用目的语中相似的习语来套译原语中的习语,它能使译文言简意赅、易于理解,但如果译者对习语的文化内涵缺乏正确和全面的理解,容易造成借用不当。
Borrowing is one of the frequently used approaches in idiom translation, which means the similar idioms in the target language are used to translate those in the source language. It can make the idioms easy to understand with least words. However the improper borrowing may occur if the cultural connotations of the idioms cannot be correctly and comprehensively understood.
