On the Urban Design of New Times Business Quarter in Baotou

城市由建筑、片区等景观要素组合而成。包头市新时代商务区城市设计运用从城市到片区再到建筑的自上而下的设计方法,同时考虑建筑影响片区,进而塑造城市的自下而上的设计思路,将其定位为现代城市商务区、城市形象标志区、城市发展带动区,从功能布局、交通组织、空间布局和景观风貌4方面塑造区片整体空间。

A city is made up of such sight elements as buildings and districts.The urban design pattern of city-district-building is applied in thedesign of the New Times Business Quarter in Baotou.In the meantime,consideration is given to the building-affected districts and then a thoughtof urban design from bottom to top is created.The Quarter is made into a modern city business center,city image center,and a driving district forurban development.The overall space is shaped through the four aspects of functional layout,traffic organization,spatial arrangement andlandscape,etc.[
