Kiev aircraft carrier hasn't been open to the public since it arrived at Tanggu port in Tianjin from Molmansk Military Harbor in northern Russia in August of last year. In May 2001, Kiev was surprisingly renovated in Shanhaiguan Shipyard and opened to tourists as a ready source of money soon. As many as 5,000 people in a day visited Kiev. Tourists saw an aircraft carrier in real shape with their own eyes. In October 2002, Kiev will return to Tianjin. China will spend a large amount of money to build a special tourism port for Kiev.
