“十五”计划建议指出:大力推进国民经济和社会信息化,是覆盖现代化建设全局的战略举措;要以信息化带动工业化,发挥后发优势,实现社会生产力的跨越式发展。当前和今后一段时间,中国工业化与信息化协调发展的现实选择应为:要继续完成工业化的未竟事业,同时,应积极推动工业化与信息化的有机结合,加快信息化体制和企业改革力度,加大对信息产业科研的资金投入,增强技术创新能力,建立人才激励机制和信息化法律法规体系,以信息化带动工业化,以工业化推进信息化,把工业化提高到广泛采用信息智能工具的水准上来,用信息技术改造和提升传统产业,努力提高中国工业化与信息化的国际竞争力,发挥后发优势,实现社会生产力的跨越式发展。

The development of China industrialize & information modernize should be well coordinated either today or in future. We should take vigorous action to expand organic combination between industrialize and information modernize, and improve industrialize to the standard that the means of information intellectual power are adopted widely. We should transform & promote traditional industry by using information technology, improve the ability oi international competitive industrialize & information modernize, give full play to up-and-coming advantage,realize the mode of spanning development of social productive forces.
