介绍了合成内燃机油的性能特点及发展动向,特别是聚α-烯烃作为内燃机油基础油,具有油膜强度高、粘温性能好、挥发性低、低温流动性及清净性好等特点。使用以聚α-烯烃为基础的合成内燃机油可节省燃料达3％以上。文中还介绍了我国聚α-烯烃的生产情况及今后的发展方向。

The performance characteristics and the trend of development of synthetic engine oil are present- ed. As the basestock of engine oil, poly-α-olifine in particular has the merits of high oil film strength, superior temperature-viscosity property, low volatility, excellent low-temperature flowability and good detergency. The use of synthetic engine oil produced with poly-α-olifine as base oil may result in a more than 3% saving in fuel. The production status of China's poly-α-olifine and it future develop- ment are also given.
