图瓦卢是位于南太平洋地区的岛国,近年来因环境变迁引起国际社会的高度关注。图瓦卢外交政策体现了小国外交的特点,周边外交是其外交政策的重点,获取更大的援助利益是外交活动的目标。图瓦卢也积极推进与国际组织的关系,大力开展多边外交,通过发展和保持与其它国家的伙伴关系,以获得强大的国家身份和存在身份,获取国外经济援助,促进国内发展计划的落实。图瓦卢与我国政府没有建立外交关系,目前与中国台湾地区保持着"密切联系"。但是,在中国"走向深蓝"、"海洋强国"战略的影响和带动下,图瓦卢不再把中国政府视为威胁,而是逐渐将中国视为经济发展的合作对象。

Tuvalu is an island country, located in the South Pacific Ocean. In recent years, Tuvalu caused great concern in the international society because of the environment changes. Tuvalu's foreign policy reflects the characteristics of small countries foreign policy. Neighboring Diplomacy is the focus of its foreign policy, To obtain greater benefits is the starting point and the ultimate goal of Tuvalu diplomatic activities. Tuvalu actively participates in international organizations and keeps multilateral diplomatic relations with other countries. The purpose is to obtain a strong national identity and the existence of identity. Developing and maintaining partnership and friendship relations with other countries is to obtain economic aid and facilitate the implementation of national development plans. Tuvalu has not established diplomatic relations with People's Republic of China, but it maintains close contact with the Taiwan Region. However, under the China'Deep Blue'and'Maritime power'strategy influence, Tuvalu no longer regards the Chinese government as a threat. It gradually regards China as economic development partner.
