TEACHING OF GEOMMOLOGY AND THE ORIENTATION OF JEWELRY MATERIAL SPECIALTY IN IRKUTSK POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTION, RUSSIA, AND THE ENLIGHTENMENT

伊尔库茨克工业大学的宝石学、珠宝材料专业方向属于材料艺术加工工艺学专业，相当于我国地质院校的宝石及工艺学专业、宝石鉴定及加工专业等，其课程设置和教学有下列特点：总教学时数份量足，课程门类多而齐全，自学时数比例大，课堂教学形式多样化，注重实践和技能培养，成绩评定形式不拘一格。因而该专业的毕业生知识面广，具有技高的专业技能，深受社会欢迎，供不应求．其课程设置和教学无疑对我国类似专业教学计划的制定和教学有着重要的参考意义．

The gemmology and the orientation of jewelry matertal specialty in Irkutsk Polytechnic Institution belong to the specialty of the material embellishment technology. It is analogous to the spectalties of gemmolosy and technology, gemstone identification and processing etc in geological colleges of China.There are some distingushing features in curricula and teaching: (1) the total teaching time is sufficient ;(2) the course is diversined and overall planned ; (3) the self study time has large proportion in teaching time ; (4) the teaching is planned in different ways ; (5) the attention is paid to the training practical and technical abilityi and (6) the achievement evaluation is not confined to one pattern. The graduates from this institution, therefore, have a wide range of knowledge and higher technical ability and are well received by society, and the member supply even falls short of need. Undoubtedly, its curricula and teaching have important reference significance in working out the sAnilar spectalty teaching plans and the teaching in China.
