The Dramatic Literature of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Gansu Province

在中国戏曲史和地方戏曲史的研究以及在戏曲史学的许多论著里 ,对甘肃客观存在的早期戏曲活动竟然只字不见。甘肃省图书馆收藏的一批极其珍贵的甘肃清代戏曲抄本 ,系清代不同时期的抄本 ,其价值意义不只在于它们时间的古远 ,更在于绝大部分属甘肃孤本 ,内容几乎囊括了甘肃早期地方剧中的初级形态与舞台演出的剧目原貌。为研究人员提供了甘肃地方戏曲剧种形成、传播。

The author argues that China's dramatic studies have so far neglected Gansu Province, which is rich in dramatic treasures coming down from, mostly, the Ming and Qing Dynasties and now stored in perfect shape in the Library of Gansu Province. The paper further explains the historical and artistic values of these works concluding that they are not only unique but also varied and that a full understanding of the dramatic activities of the Northwest requires a close scrutiny of these works.
