摘要
《荀子》32篇,其中相当一部分涉及了汉字的起源、语言的社会本质、语言的继承与发展、语言的作用、语言的修饰、方言与共同语等语言学的基本问题。在论证上述问题时,荀子在继承前人的基础上有所创新,不时闪烁出朴素唯物主义的思想曙光,给后人以极大的启发。可以这样认为,荀子的语言观,为中国古代语言学的发展作出了巨大的贡献,也为现代语言学的建立奠定了坚实的基础。
In the 32 articles in Xun Zi,most of them are involved in the language's oringination, social nature, inheritence and development,its function and the like of the basic questions of language. In the discussion of the questions,Xun Zi did some creation on the basis of the inherence,exposed simple materialistic thoughts,and greatly enlightened the coming people.In short,Xun Zi's linguistic points immensely contributed to the development of ancient Chinese linguistics and to the establishment of modern linguistics.
