利用数据包络分析方法,对全国31个省市高校中2001年各类教职工及学生的人数状况进行了评价,提出了各省市高校合适的各类教职工数量及学生与各类教职工之间合适的比例,为高校适当确定教师及学生人数,提高办学效益,坚持正确的办学方向提供了理论指导.

The paper evaluates the amount of staffs and students of higher education in 31 provinces and cities in China from using data envelopment analysis method. It puts forward a suitable amount of staffs and suitable ratios between students and staffs in higher education in these provinces and cities. It also provides a theoretic guide for higher education to determine the amount of staffs and students properly, raise the benefits and persist in correct direction for running a school.
