高校图书馆内“霸位”现象的思考

My Reflections on the Phenomenon of " Occupying Seats" in Colleges′and Universities′Libraries

高校图书馆资源与学生需求的矛盾日益突出,衍生出高校图书馆特有的带有普遍性的“霸位”现象。借阅体制的改革,招生的扩大,社会读者的增加,纸质馆藏急增以及学生的学习热情是产生这一现象的原因。应挖掘图书馆固有潜力,加快数字图书馆的建设与发展,加大大学生素质教育的力度,努力改变这一现状。

There exists an increasingly striking conflict between the library resources and the student needs and accordingly, an ' occupying seats' phenomenon of a universal nature arises in colleges and universities in China. This phenomenon results from such reasons as the reform of the system of borrowing for reading, the enrolment enlargement, the increase of readers from society, the drastic enrichment of collection of paper- made books and the enthusiasm of students, etc. It is imperative to make efforts to change this situation by tapping all latent potentials of the current libraries, speeding up the building and development of digital libraries and strengthening the enhancement of the ideological and ethical standards of our students.
