Reinterpreting the Errors in Herodotus′ Writings

世人对西方"史学之父"希罗多德历来褒贬不一,贬之者多从两个方面入手:一是希罗多德《历史》中的史料常流于轻信且重文轻史,一是希罗多德的作品中神命史观极为浓厚。希罗多德的作品的确有些不足之处,但希罗多德更具求真精神且人本史观表现亦很强烈。

People have different oppinions about Herodotus,'the father of history'.Some people consider him in two aspects:one aspect is that he paid too much attention to the expression not historical facts in his 'History'.The other aspect is that he paid too much attention to destiny.I admit there are some shortcomings in his works ,but Herodotus emphasized realistic approach and historical materialism very much.\;
