论述了中国加入WTO的新形势下,旅游院校的英语课教学应走出一条创新的路子,英语教学应贯穿于整个大学教育的始终,同时也强调实用英语的重要性。英语教学目标应分为阶段性目标和终极性目标两种。只有这样才能培养出具有国际竞争能力的旅游专业人才。

This paper discusses the new way of college English teaching in all institutes and colleges of tourism after China's entry to WTO.It also emphasizes practical English.English course should have at least 2 purposes--periodical purpose and final purpose.Only in this way can we make men for tourism.
