关于82586/82501/82502芯片集的Ethernet和Cheapernet网络系统

Intel公司最近推出了一套由82586.82501和82502构成的芯片集,该芯片集提供了完全解决IEEE802.3的10Mbps(兆位/秒)局部地区网络标准的方法。这些方法所能解决的标准是10BASE5型(Ethernet)和10BASE2型(Cheapernet)

The IEEE 802.3 IOBASE5 Standard (Ethernet) has gained wide acceptance by both large and small corporations as a high speed (10Mbps) Local Area Network, The Ethernet channel is a low noice, shielded 50Ωcoaxial cable over which information is transmitted at million bit per second. Cheapernet, IEEE 802.3 IOBASE2,is identical to Ethernet with the some exceptions. The design principle of the above two LANS and a node using 82586 / 83501 / 82502 chips is presented in this paper.
