历史对国际政治的影响是一个早为人认识到却未被很好论说的问题。历史与现实之间紧密的关联是历史得以对人类实践活动发挥影响的重要原因 ,作为历史的特殊作用领域 ,国际政治在许多方面如国际政治体系、国际政治理念、国际政治行为等 ,都深受历史的强烈影响。弄清这种影响的方式和途径、范围和特征 ,并在此基础上自觉借鉴史学方法 ,纳入史学视角 ,无疑会对我们冷静审慎地思考国际政治问题 ,且进一步推进国际政治学科的发展提供帮助。

The issue that history affects international polities is well known but it has not been fully expounded. The close relationship between history and reality is the significant reason for explaining why history exerts an influence over human practice. As a special realm of history, international politics is under the sway of history in many respects, including with respect to the international political system, international relations theory,and international political behavior. Therefore, to ascertain the pattern, approach, realm, and characteristics of this sort of effect and on this basis to accommodate the means and perspective of historiography are undoubtedly helpful for us to consider international political issues in an all-round way and to promote the develolment of international polities as a discipline.
