人的社会本质在于人的社会关系。社会关系是指许多个人的合作或许多个人的共同活动。它实际上决定着一个人能够发展到什么程度。人在社会关系面前是受动的,又是能动的,二者的统一构成了人的社会本质发展的动力。私有制条件下人获取自己的社会本质和实现这种本质的发展有重重的障碍。应该充分认识我国社会关系的当代转向,借鉴西方现代化过程中人的世界的发展与物的世界的发展的不同步性、不平衡性的教训,确立新的发展理念,实现人的社会本质的发展与社会的发展、人的社会本质的现代化与社会的现代化的统一与协调。

Human's nature lies in the human's social relationship. The social relationship refers to the cooperation and coactions of many people. In fact, it decides the level of a person's development. Human is both driving and passive facing to the social relationship; the both consist of the power of the human's development. Under private ownership, there are many obstacles in the way of people's wanting to get their own developement. Nowadays facing the shift of our country's social relationship, we should construct the new developing idea, which reflects the unity of the developing of human's social nature and the society, of the modernization of human's social nature and the society. During this process, we should draw the west modernization lessons from the conflicts of the developing of the human world and the material world.
