中国20世纪30年代小品文是在"五四"高扬个性解放、思想解放的时代氛围中兴盛的。它轻松活泼、闲适从容、个性鲜明的笔风是汲取了古今中外小品文滋养后的必然结果。现代小品文对晚明小品顺势承传的同时,也接受了英国随笔重个性、幽默味格调的影响。同时,中国当代散文的发展与突破,与中国现代小品文是一脉相承的。

The essay writing in China during the 1930s was flourished in the climate of 'May 4th' which advocates the emancipation of personality and ideology.The chatting,humorous,and individual personality style was the inevitable result of having absorbed the nourishment of domestic and foreign essays both of the past and of the time. While following the trend as well as inheriting and transmitting the features of the essays of China' late Ming Dynasty, Chinese modern essays were also influenced by the British jotting with individual personality and humourous style.
