摘要
针对目前城市信息化建设过程中存在着大量的信息资源需要共享、交换、发布， 然而基础数据的格式不统一、信息描述格式的混乱，造成系统间难以有效地进行信息共享和 互操作，提出在网上城市中采用元数据进行系统构建，作为有效地进行信息集成、信息发布 的设计模型。
To solve problems in information integration, publishing, exchangin g when building e-city. There are many obstructions when building e-city, while the paper focuses on information sharing problems such as how to know the exactl y data element concept when the data is transforming from one system to another, how to describe document resource and service resource in e-city, etc .This art icle describes the metadata concept and how it is used in e-city .
