Prioritized admission strategies for the client requests in the VOD server

摘要 介绍了VOD服务器上获准用户请求的几种基本策略,并在此基础上提出了效果更优的混合策略.该策略以视频的长度和位率为参数,增加了请求的获准率,同时降低了获准延迟.对请求排队的普通模型进行了数学分析,给出了采用不同策略时的计算机仿真结果,显示了混合策略的优越性. Some simple admission strategies for the client requests in the VOD server are introduced, on the basis of which a better hybrid strategy is developed. This strategy has the length and bit rate of the video as its parameters, increasing the admission ratio and decreasing the admission delay. Then, a common model for the request queue is analyzed in mathematics and the computer simulation results of the different admission strategies are given to show the advantage of the hybrid strategy.
