Four reaction types could be initiated by the peroxidase catalyzed are introduced, such as oxidative dehydrogenation, oxidative halogenation, H 2 O 2 dismutation and oxygen transfer reaction. The application prospect of peroxidases in the area of synthetic organic reactions is reviewed. It is thought that chloroperoxidase is one of the most versatile peroxidase, which can catalyze organic reactions with higher enantioselectivity and enzyme stability.
