摘要
悲剧《李尔王》在莎士比亚戏剧中以二元对立结构原则的广泛运用而不同于其他戏剧。文章试图从格雷马斯结构语义学、俄国形式主义、英美新批评派以及E M福斯特人物性格塑造等相关理论出发,通过对《李尔王》中情节、反讽、人物间及人物自身性格中二元对立原则的结构方式进行多元的评析,揭示莎翁是如何在这三个方面成功地运用二元对立的结构原则来增强作品的艺术感染力,全面真实地反映现实、深化主题的。
King Lear stands uniquely among the four greatest Shakespeare's tragedies for its wide usage of the structrural principle of binary. In this paper , based upon the relevent theories of the Russian formalism, Greimas's semantic structuralism, New Critcism and E. M. Forster', the writers limit their concern solely on the structural principle of binary employed by Shakespeare in King Lear. It is the writers' view that King Lear is full of binaries which not only greatly enrich the artistic charm of this play, truthfully mirror the reality from multi dimensions, and vividly shape the characters but also contribute a lot to develop Shakespeare's exploration of human nature and reveal its theme. The paper deals with binaries in plots,irony and characters.
