摘要
通过对C.T.R.威尔逊研究和改进云室的过程的考察,说明"云室"的功能随着其结构的变化而发生变化:从模拟日晕现象到研究凝结的规律及电子电量的测定;威尔逊利用云室拍出的α粒子引起云室内气体凝聚的痕迹与H.A.布拉格想象中的α粒子径迹进行比较,得到惊人的、相似的结果后,云室就成为了观测基本粒子径迹的主要仪器.
Through the study of C.T.R. Wilson and observation of the process in improving the cloud-chamber, it makes out that the function of the 'cloud-chamber' changes with its change of structure. From the phenomenon of simulating solar halo to the study of coagulating law and the mensuration of electron and electric quantity, Wilson photographed out in the cloud-chamber that the trace of gas coagulation arose from α particle was astonishing resemble with α particle track which was in H.A. Prague's imagination after comparison. From then on cloud-chamber has become the main instrument for observing basic particle track.
