摘要
以《圣经》中"上帝的记号"来解读福克纳笔下一群特殊的人物形象———"白痴",认为这些形象除了表达受罚人类的意义之外,另一个更为显性的话语是:他们是人类生存及发展的转化和延续。这群"无意义"人物形象体现了福克纳创作中的人道主义情怀。
The paper interpreted the 'idiots' in Faulkner's works by 'God's sign' in the Bible and concludes that they contain two kinds of implications. Firstly, they show that man should be punished; secondly, and it is also the more apprantly one, they symbolize transformance and continuance of human life. These idiot images show Faulkner's humanistic thought.
