摘要
提出一种以小波变换进行子带滤波,以二进制平面可变阈值进行压缩编码的音频压缩方法。该方法不必考虑信源的音频特征,不必构造码本,仅仅以逐次渐进的方式逼近期望的均方误差,可提供可变压缩比或可变信噪比的音频码流,故可以压缩任何类型的声音信号,特别适合于网络的多媒体应用。可将86kB/s立体声音乐压缩到16kB/s,并在人耳听觉意义上保证原有音质不变的重构。进一步压缩仍能保持良好听觉效果。
An audio compression algorithm is presented, which based on the wavelet theory and the binary-plane adjustable threshold coding. It can provide a multi-rate compressed audio stream related to the changeable compression rate or SNR without considering the source audio characteristics and building the codebook. It can be used to compress any type of sound signals and especially suitable for network multimedia application. Good rebuilding stereo quality can be gained when it is compressed from 86kB/s to 16kB/s and more.
