Indication of Negative Triaxial Deformation in Very Neutron-deficient Odd-A Re Isotopes

摘要 For neutron deficient odd-proton nuclei in the mass region of 160, the high-Ω orbits of the πh11/2 shell are close to the proton Fermi surface, and the bands built on the 9/2-[514] configuration have been observed systematically. Cranked shell-model calculations of quasi-proton energies as a function of triaxial (7) deformation predict that the occupation of an orbit in the upper half of the πh11/2 shell tends to drive the nucleus towards negative 7-deformation.
