Isolation and identification of Riemerella anatipestifer serotype 2 from geese

从剖检表现纤维素性心包炎、肝周炎和气囊炎的病死雏鹅脑内分离到 1株细菌 ,定名为G0 2 0 1B株 ,经形态学观察、生化试验及血清型鉴定 ,确定为 2型鸭疫里氏杆菌。经人工感染试验 ,表明该菌对雏鹅有极强的致病力 ,致死率高达 10 0 %。

A strain of bacteria has been isolated from brains of diseased geese characterized by fibrinous pericarditis, perihepatitis and airsacculitis. It was identified as Riemerella anatipestifer serotype 2 according to its staining, microscopy, biochemical characteristics and serotyping. Higher pathogenicity with 100% in mortality was found by experimental infection in geese.It was first documented that there is the natural infection of R. anatipestifer in geese in Fujian Province,China.
