This paper comprehensively reviewed the progress in anti-hyperglycemic effect of the active constituents of Chinese traditional herbal drugs on experimental diabetes.The active constituents classified as polysaccharide,saponins,alkaloids,polypeptide and aminoacid,terpenes were reviewed in this paper.
