摘要
论述了陈述句、祈使句、疑问句和感叹句在英文广告中的应用及其宣传效果;并探讨其它句子结构(前置地点状语、前置时间状语、强调句结构、"Wh-"结构句、排比句结构)在英文广告词中的形式特点和表达功能。
The first part of the paper discusses how four main sentence types-declarative sentences, imperative sentences, interrogative sentences, exclamatory sentences influence English advertising. The second part explores formal characteristics and specific functions of four other kinds of sentence types, namely, fronting of place adjunct, fronting of time adjunct, 'it-stucture' , 'wh-structure' and parallelism employed in advertising.
