The deficient in harvesting technological process and the incompleteness of straw disposing scheme are bottlenecks in realization of industrialization for a combine harvester for threshing crops prior to cutting. By testing and analyzing the straw chopper of a combine harvester, the paper gives its major working parameters, the calculation methods, the methods of arranging the blades and clearance of working cavity, the linear velocity of the blades, and so on. The poor adaptability for crops and the narrow harvesting width of the existing combine harvester were solved in the paper.
