To evaluate different methods for detection of coliform in foods. The difference in coliform counts among national standard method,professional standard method and chromogenic medium method has been compared. There are not significantly difference with national and professional standard methods. The chromogenic medium method offers advantages over other methods. Chromogenic medium method is rapid, specific and sensitive to detect coliform in foods.
