异化与归化浅说──读韦努蒂的“翻译,社区,乌托邦”及其它

On Foreignization and Domestication──Some Thinking about Venuti's "Translation,Community,Utopia" and others

韦努蒂在“翻译 ,社区 ,乌托邦”一文中 ,主张在翻译过程中 ,译者要试图建立一个社区 ,使它成为沟通两国语言文化的桥梁。而完美的翻译又是乌托邦空想 ,翻译的目的是要表达语言和文化的差异。本文主要围绕韦努蒂的翻译理论展开研究 ,进一步阐述了他的“异化”的翻译思想 ,从而明确翻译的目的是“存异”而不是“求同”。

In his article,'Translation,Community,Utopia',Lawrence Venuti proposes that in translating,the translator should try to establish a community which is a bridge of language and culture between two nations.The perfect translation is an Utopia.The objective of translating is to express the linguistic and cultural difference.The present paper tries to do a further research on his translation theory,and elaborating his 'foreignizing' theory.And it also concludes that the objective of translating is to reserve the differences rather than seeking common ground.
