如何评价历史人物引起了新的讨论,从实用主义与历史虚无主义来理解历史人物的作用,必然陷入错误。正确评价历史人物必须遵循历史的原则与阶级的原则,同时要依据三个重要标准,即要看历史人物是否代表了生产力发展的要求,是否代表了当时社会先进文化发展的方向,是否体现了人民群众的利益。

New discussions have arisen on how to evaluate historical figures.It is wrong to evaluate historical figures from the perspectives of pragmatism and historical nihilism.To achieve objective and correct evaluation,principle of historical development and that of class should be followed.At the same time,three significant criteria should be taken into account: whether historical figures represent the development requirements of productive forces;whether they represent the directions of advanced social and cultural development of their times;and whether they represent the interests of the mass of people.
