This paper illustrates the significance and functions of constructing office automation system in Guangxi highway department. In light of the current issues in four aspects to be settled in the construction of office automation system in Guangxi highway department, combined with the characteristics in the administration of highway construction in Guangxi, this paper introduces the necessity of establishing office automation system. It presents the basic requirements and approaches for the construction of office automation system in Guangxi highway department.
