The Destroying of Regional Construction and Breaking out of Ontological Study—— Pondering over the Crux of Problems on Ethnomusicology

西方民族音乐学家曾将地域的特殊性作为民族音乐学的质的规定性。通过分析,此说不足以成立。在学科的逻辑起点上,他们犯了以结果代起点的错误,将方法论的具体使用的所见视域代替了整个学科的视域,从而缩小了学科的视域。民族音乐学就其本质而言,是对音乐作外围研究。它要追究的是音乐何以如此的深层原因。在这种意义上,民族音乐学是一门音乐文化阐释学,它采用还原的方法,尽可能在当时语境中解释音乐,复活音乐。

Western ethnomusicologists once considered regional specialities as the qualitative prescription of Ethnomusicology However,our careful analysis has found that their argument is actually not plausible be-cause their mistaken replacement of logical result with logical starting point ,and the specifically employed in the sense of methodology with the vision of the whole subject undoubtedly narrows the vision of this subject.The essence of ethnomusicology is a periphery study of music which makes an in-depth analysis of the cause why music comes into being.To some degree,it is an explanatory subject of music culture which,by the method of restoration,tries its best to explain and revive music in an at-that-moment context.
