Examining the Requirements of the Development of Advanced Productive Forces from the Overall Perspective of Human Society

从人类社会整体看,先进生产力的发展要求,既包括用先进生产力改造、提升落后生产力,又包括变革生产关系和上层建筑,前者是要发展先进生产力,后者是要为先进生产力的发展开辟空间、创造条件,二者统一在发展先进生产力的现实实践中。当今中国先进生产力的发展要求主要体现在全面提高劳动者素质;大力推动科技进步;改造落后生产力;变革生产关系和上层建筑,建设中国特色社会主义四个方面。

In the overall view of human society, the requirements of the development of advanced productive forces include reforming and upgrading backward productive forces, and restructuring productive relations and the realm of the superstructure. The former means to develop productive forces, and the latter needs to widen the horizons and conditions for advanced productive forces; thus the two parts should be integrated in practice. Currently, the requirements of the development of China's advanced productive forces are mainly represented by improving the quality of workers in an allround way, propelling scientific and technological progress with every effort, reforming backward productivity, productive relations and superstructure, and building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
