This paper briefly presents the application of semi-rigid connections in the design of composite structure through the experimental engineering design, and proceeds to study to a few problems such as quantity of steel, structural performance, construction quality control at the same time. The structure with semi-rigid connections exhibits good performance, dissipates more energy than the structure with rigid connections. 
