略论晚清北京社会风尚的变化及其特点

The changes and characteristics of Beijing's social fashions in late Qing

晚清时期北京社会风尚与全国一样呈现新旧杂陈的特点。在西方文化影响下渐次发生趋新的时间 ,比之东南沿海地区略显滞后 ,然一旦发生速度即相当快 ,对全国有一定的昭示作用。就风尚整体而言 ,不变的东西多于变的东西 ,变化的部分也不都是一变从新。趋新风尚局限于官吏和新知识阶层。晚清北京风尚的变化一直延伸至民国以及更晚近的历史时期。

The characteristics of Beijing's social fashions in the late Qing was the co existence of the new and the old. The incline to the new fashions was impacted by western culture and gradually came into effect to the whole country. As a whole, the changing process was complex and limited to the officials and the new intellectuals,and the fashion of this trend lasted for several decades.
