浅谈大学英语教学中的素质教育

A Brief Talk on the Quality-based Education in College English Teaching

简要分析了大学英语教学与素质教育之间的关系,指出大学英语教学是实施素质教育的一个重要组成部分。大学英语教学的任务不只是培养学生的语言技能,还应当体现在学生的认知能力、文化素养、思想品德、情感等方面的培养。只有这样,才能培养全面素质的人才。

This article briefly analyzes the relationship betwee n college English teaching and quality-based education,and points out that colleg e English teaching is an indispensable component of quality-based education.Col lege English education,instead of merely the teaching of language skill,should include the educational factors as cognition,culture competence,moral and aff ect.In doing so,the teacher might be able to help the students attain all-roun d development.
